Application Terms

The app is provided by Occasio & Co Roasters for browsing our menu, ordering ahead and paying for pickup, buying our coffee to be shipped, and managing your account and rewards. You agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with its operation or security. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

We sign you in with a one-time link or code sent to your email — there’s no password to remember. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone with a valid link can sign in. You’re responsible for activity under your account. You can browse as a guest, but some features (like earning Flow Points) require an account and a mobile number.

Creating an account enrolls you in Flow Points using the mobile number you give us, since that’s what identifies you at the register. You earn Points on qualifying purchases, in the app and at the register, at the rate shown in the app, and can redeem them for the rewards listed in the app or at the register.

•Points have no cash value and can’t be sold, transferred, or exchanged for cash.

•We may adjust earning rates, reward tiers, or correct balances affected by errors, returns, or fraud.

•Points may expire or the program may change or end; we’ll communicate material changes in the app.

You order ahead and pay in the app, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, a card you’ve saved, or a linked Overflow gift card. Payments are processed by Square. Your order is placed once your payment goes through, and it’s ready for pickup at the time shown.

App prices are a little higher than our in-store prices, to help cover the cost of taking card payments online. The price on the menu is the full price of the item before sales tax: nothing is added at checkout except New Jersey sales tax and any tip you choose. Sales tax applies to the full app price. A free-item reward covers the item’s full app price, and Points on app orders are earned on app prices.

Prices, availability, and the menu come from our live point-of-sale system and may change. If a price changes while you’re ordering, the app shows you the new total before you pay.

Bags of coffee from the app’s Shop can be shipped to an address in the United States, or picked up at the café instead. An order ships to one address, and an order with café drinks or food in it is always picked up.

Shipping is $6, and free when your coffee subtotal is $50 or more (counted on the app prices you see). Coffee isn’t charged sales tax, and shipping is the only thing added to a shipped order — no tip is asked for. We email a tracking link to the address you give us when your order ships.

Because coffee is food, it can’t be returned once it has shipped. If your order arrives damaged or isn’t what you ordered, email occasioroastery@outlook.com and we’ll make it right with a replacement or a refund.

The Opportunist is our roaster Occasio’s coffee subscription, which you can start in the app. It renews automatically: your saved card is charged the price shown when you subscribe — $18, $30 or $42 a delivery for 1, 2 or 3 bags — on the first day, and then monthly or every two weeks, as you chose, until you cancel. Shipping is free, and coffee isn’t charged sales tax.

You manage it in the app’s Account page, or at occasioroasters.com (sign in with the same email): skip a delivery, change your roast, grind or address, or cancel anytime. A cancellation stops future charges, and you keep receiving the coffee you’ve already paid for. To change the size or schedule, email occasioroastery@outlook.com.

Overflow gift cards are issued and processed by Square. They’re redeemable toward purchases at participating Overflow locations, can’t be redeemed for cash except where required by law, and we’re not responsible for lost or stolen cards. Linking a gift card in the app shows its balance, lets you pay for app orders with it, and gives you a code to pay with at the register.

We work hard to keep the app accurate and available, but it’s provided “as is” without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Occasio & Co Roasters isn’t liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable law.
